Nevada Marriage License

A Nevada Marriage license can be obtained 7 days a week. Cost is $55 plus $15 for each certified copy. There is not blood test or waiting period required. You must be 18 or older and present ID: Driver’s License or Certified Copy of Birth Certificate of Passport or Military ID. Ages 16-18 must have parents or legal guardians or a Notarized letter of consent from parents. If divorced, need date divorce was final and city and state finalized in. License is valid for one year.

California Marriage License

A California public license may be purchased in any county in California. Cost is $60 plus $13.00 for each certified copy. There is no blood test required and no waiting period. You must be 18 or older and present a photo ID (driver’s license, state ID military ID passport or other official identification. The license is good for 90 days from the purchase. For second marriages, no divorce papers needed if it has been final for over 90 days.

Note - other counties at Lake Tahoe are Carson City County, Washoe County and Placer County.

Rev. Sharon Rusk's Fees for Services

Classic Lake Tahoe, South Shore Wedding: $200

Includes full standard wedding ceremony services, with support on wedding vows and completion of your Nevada or California marriage license.

Lake Tahoe Wedding Ceremony Rehearsal: $60/hour

Rev. Rusk can be available to assist with the Bride & Groom's Ceremony Rehearsal. This service includes the coordination of the ceremony processional and final discussion of the vows.

Extended Travel Charges

If required, Rev. Rusk can travel to a wedding ceremony Site away from Tahoe's greater South Shore area. Depending on the distance and travel time required travel charges will be discussed.

Wedding Witness: $30

If you are in need of an official witness for your wedding ceremony, we can provide one.

Additional Information and Wedding Planner Options

As a pro active member of the South Lake Tahoe Wedding & Honeymoon Association, Rev. Rusk has worked with many of Tahoe's top professional wedding planner organizations. If your Tahoe Wedding requires this level of service Sharon will be only too happy to offer recommendations.

Some of Lake Tahoe's more popular wedding ceremony locations do require permits and use fees. The wedding couple are responsible for those costs.
